Does winchester still make these rifles?? Just saw a pic on one and its really nice. All i own is savage remington and browing. How do you guys like the winchester bolt action rifles?? Is there any site i can go to and look at the different stocks and makes of the winchester? I tried the winchester website and it wont let me see any pictures of rifles. Thanks.

Winchester closed it's plant the made model 70's and 94's a few years ago. There planning on making the model 70's again, but I don't know the starting date. I don't know what grades of guns their going to make. You might check out the Winchester site on the net. Their still producing guns overseas but not the 70's or lever actions.

. The build them for the snipers, guess they should be ok for us deer hunters...

The military builds all their own sniper rifles off of Rem 700 actions. The .50BMG sniper rifles are built by Barret and sold to the military in pieces, unfinished so that an armorer can complete them.

I believe the Supergrades are the old pre-64 style controlled round feed with the big Mauser style claw extractor. They have better wood and cut checkering rather than the cheap run of the mill walnut and pressed checkering used on post '64 guns.

hmm i didnt know that. Another thing, theres a guy wanting to sell me a winchester, i guess its model 70. Its a bolt action, and he says it has some sort of titainium finish on the barrel. I cant remember exactly what he called it. Anybody know what he could be talking about? He never mentioned the stock so i donno. Its a 7mag with a nikon matching titainium scope on it.
