Question TCR Barrels

Registered Users do not see the above ad.

Looking for places that carry TCR barrels. Not Encore or Contender Barrels.

I no longer sell the old TCR barrels but if you have one that you are willing to part with, I can add a custom barrel to what you already have...

Sorry, Brand new to this forum, and I saw you thread. Just picked up a TCR in 270 Win. Beautiful gun, but I don't know anything about them. Can y'all tell me anything. I would love to pick up some other barrels for it.

I am interested, how do you proceed? Maybe using the mono block and threading it???

GunBroker and AuctionArms web sites are the places I've seen for used barrels. When you find them listed get your pocket book out because others are looking and bidding. Most I've seen sell around $300 but some pushed $500.

I did a Google search for TCR barrels and came up with this interesting site: They have a 7mm Rem Mag barrel and a 10 ga barrel listed for $150 each! This may be way out of date but it might be worth a look.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. I was actually more interested in Deer Assassin comment *adding a custom barrel to what ever you have* because I am almost certain this is the route I will choose to take…

Although I have never won a bid I do realize the auction sites are the place to go and have in fact been there and know what has been selling.

I also have bought two barrels from Ed (His web site is usually not up to date but at last check the TCR barrels you listed are still available and at a reasonable price. I bought a 30-06 for 180.00 and a .270 with extras for 250.00

IMO t and no offense intended the guys who pay 300.00 or more are either crazy or collectors because after they reach 300.00 that is the breaking point where I decide it is wiser to chop off my 30-06 barrel and have the mono block threaded and I can have any caliber I choose whenever I want with as really nice custom barrel.

So see there ya go, I am indeed the crazy one in most people eyes however I am definitely not a collector, nor am I rich enough to spend over 300-500 just to end up with a factory barrel which in my experience will shoot so-so to ok and most definitely will have minor to major copper fouling (Just my experience with 3 barrels)

I also do not like to settle for something I really do not want and that is the main reason for my mono-block build.

I’m a new hunter safety instructor and in my first class last month was my 12 year old daughter who has now decided she would like to deer hunt…. Since I have the brass and have always wanted a *rimmed* 257 Roberts for my TCR I am in search of a standard 257 R which was actually custom made at one time. But am sure I know what the outcome will be so figure I will get going on it for *next year* and as bad as I hate to destroy a piece of our gun history the 06 may be going to the chopping block to fulfill a crazy ole dream of mine…

Great site ya have here and glad i stumbled across it!!! I come from a small caliber forum...

Thanks again for taking your time to reply above to try and help!!
