I am going to buy a 45 auto in the next week or so and was looking at the new Remington, does anyone on here have one? or know anything about them. The gun shop I was at today had one, I liked the looks of the it. I guess one of my main concerns are, are they made in the U.S.A. or imported like...
Just came home with Remingtons new entry.
I love my 1911s, got some Paras and even a Terry Tussy that I lucked into.
This new Remington 1911 is very accurate. It looks like all the rest, but it has a good trigger and groups well. Comes with 2 - 7 rd clips.

I gotta be honest, I wish Ruger would make a 1911 for me, but this Remington will do just fine for now. Slated to be in stores by the end of June, and at a MSRP of 699, a street price should be 550-575 clams.
I am about to inherit my father's WWII 1911 which he got when he was active in the Navy, issued about 1942 or '43. He says it was made by Remington-Rand, and knowing that they did make some of the 1911's during the war, I'm assuming he's reading that off the pistol and is correct about it...
