Hi Guys. Can anyone tell me the difference between the lyman #36 swing away peep sights made for the pre-1924 mannlicher and those made to fit the 1924-1950 and the post-1950 models? I just picked up a 22 inch model 1903 (serial 12,8xx) full-stock and can't see the rear and front sights at the same time. Appreciate your time.

Quote from "old gunsights and rifle scopes' The original # 36 was designed to fit M-S rifles manufactured from 1898 to 1924, the sight code is 36-MS . Lyman introduced the 36MS-24 to fit rifles built from 1924 to 1950. In the mid 50's they introduced th 36MS 50 for ones after 1950 and they are not interchangable.

That's all it says, but it doesn't say what the diferences is.
