Does anybody know of a good site for the 03? A friend asked me about a rifle left to him by his grandfather. This rifle is in great its an early model stamped issued in 5/09. The stock looks like it was modified with a pistol grip but he claimes this was the way his Grandfater received it when he retired from the arsonel

This is a link to a article on the low serial number issue and it is on the forementioned 1903 site. But beings your friends is a early model it deserves reading i found it quite interesting. I also feel anyone that has heard the low numbered 1903 were unsafe to fire but has never delved into it further should read it as well as it kinda helps give a majority of the old 03s some credibility in the matter.
