My first post on this site, so, thought I'd test your knowledge. Can some of you give me some really good loading data for a 221 fireball. It will be used in a Rem 700 classic. Thanks ARC LITE :D

I have an article by Steve Timm where he worked up loads for a Kimber Rifle in 221. I can probably scan it for you.

Handgun data is all over the place so that's easy to find.

I just acquired a Rem 700 classic, and need some loading data also. Could you share some of the info you recieved? I would appreciate it.
Haven't heard from this gent again as there was some problem sending him the data via e-mail. Also another gent who contacted me was never heard from again.

So as it stands nobody has received the complete info as of yet.

221 fireball loads

Arc lite,
I've been fulling around with a rem. actioned pac-nor bbl fireball. Been having good luck with H 322, and Reloader 7, in combination with 40 gr. v max and blitzkings. Your Classic should handle starting loads in the 18 to 18.5 gr.I have been clocking these at 3000'/s up to the high 3400s range.
Hogdon Lists h322 as 21 gr. max, which is just about all you can stuff in this case.
Am going to try V V n 100 or n 120, if I can find a starting point. They don't list the fireball in their current manual.
Been fulling around with some 52 gr berger bullets too, but just started load development on that one. Been through the imr 4227 charges, but get too much pressure when trying to move it fast enough.
Hope this helps, Patches :D
IMR4198 18.0-18.5gr, RP brass, R 7 1/2 primers, Hornady 50gr SX has worked sell for me.
Anyone use Hodgdon's Lil'Gun powder in the 221? I've a Rem. 700 that I bought last year and am just now starting to shoot it.
So far the best I've obtainded is a 3/8" group at 100yds using a 52gr. hp bullet with 13.7 grains of Lil'Gun and Fiocchi small rifle primers.
IMR4198 wasn't that great so far but I want to experiment with it before I write it off.
