Rick,

Smokeless powder is only called that in comparison to black powder, which creates a big cloud of smoke, when you fire a round charged with it. A little bit of smoke is normal, even using a "smokeless" powder. I presume you used a reloading manual to select that recipe and it looks like it would be a fairly decent choice, so yes, you seem to be doing it the right way. :)
