I am looking for magazine articles or books that have information on the .30-30 Ackley Improved.
The .30-30AI is not mentioned in the 1959 Edition of P.O. Ackleys Handbook for Shooters and Reloaders. The 6mm-.30-30 and the .22-30-30 are listed in the chamber dimensions table.
Henry Stebbins mentions the .30-30AI in his Rifles, A Modern Encyclopedia - 1958.
The Speer Reloading Manual for Wildcat Cartridges - 1959 - makes no mention of the .30-30 AI.
Robert Hutton wrote the first real article on the .30-30AI in the May issue of Guns & Ammo 1961. Hutton claimed to have the first chamber reamed to this cartridge - 26" FN Mauser.
Listing them in no particular order I have:
Robert Hutton Are Wildcats Better? Pt. II Guns & Ammo January 1967.
H.V. Stent Turpentining the .30-30 Handloaders Digest 4th. Ed.
H.V. Stent Put More Push in your .30-30 Shooting Times August 1965.
John Triaster Improve the .30-30 Handloaders Digest 9th. Ed.
Don Roberts Is the .30-30 Improved Cartridge Really an Improvement? Guns February 1987.
Don Roberts Reloading the .30-30 Ackley Improved Handloader #107 February 1984.
Finn Aagaard Cliftons Marlin Rifle #157 January 1995.
Sam Fadalas Book of the Winchester Model 94 has some good information.
Phil Sharpe wrote That old Thutty Thutty in American rifleman March 1952.
Anyone have any others?

I forgot to mention the second edition of P.O. Ackley's Handbook for Shooters and Reloaders (two volume set) with a good mention of the cartidge in an article on pressure and the syonpsis of reloading information taken from Robert Huttons article in Guns & Ammo.
