What are your favorite components for this cartridge and why? Thanks for any info.

Well I have some 200 gr loads as follows;

200gr Partitions
72gr H4831
Win Primer
Win Case

Today I tried some 165gr handloads that I used in another 300WM, so-so accuracy. I tried the above load and accuracy is good enough for hunting, but I still want to try 180 grain loads.

Accuracy with the above load is around 2.5" at 250 yards with a variable breeze, 5-7 mph.
Have you tried the Grand Slams?
I'm sorry, I may not be understanding this correctly. You shot 165gr bullets from your 300WM and put together a solid MOA group, at 250 yards, and that is just "so-so accuracy"?

Sorry for the confusion. The 200 grain Partition load is the real world 2.5" @ 250 yards load.

I was hoping for some good 180 grain suggestions.

Thanks
the 208/210gn bullets are great out of my 300wm.and useing H1000 to push them seems best for my rifel.so yea I agree on the 200+ bullet choice for a 300wm.

Sounds good. Looks like you are using match or target bullets. My 300 Win is mostly for hunting.

I have looked at the H1000 its a good choice. Others I am thinking is IMR 4831, and RL22. H4831 has always been a winner I just want the extra speed the 300 Winch is designed for.

Thanks for the advice.
Thanks, that's what I was hoping to hear. I would like to give that bullet a try.
Sounds good. Gotta love the power of the 300 Winny. I shot a big bodied elk at 458 ranged yards, elk went straight down, love the thump. My favorite number.

I like the IMR 4831 a lot.
