     This question has been asked many times over the years and the answer is the same. Shoot them. There's never been a noticeable pressure spike when used with the recommended powder burning rates. This applies to the 303 British as well as the 7.65 Mauser and the 7.62x39 in 308 Ruger barrels. Accuracy may suffer, but here again there have been no definitive tests to prove or disprove this fact. Only
circumstantial assumptions. The 303 Savage has always fired 311 bullets thru 308 barrels. The idea at that time was to increase velocity by swaging down the bullets. Once again no definitve answers pro or con, just assumptions. Results may vary. Any firearm used for modern loads should be  in good condition and properly checked for headspace then enjoyed.
