Hey Guys,
Quick Question for a buddy with a .32 H&R Contender Barrel. This barrel is reported to be a .308 bore dia. Has anyone tried loading .308 dia rifle bullets for this barrel in lieu of .311-.312 pistol bullets??

Yes, they work fine.
Tell him to play with the 125-grain Sierra FHP and any of the 30 caliber 110-grain spitzers and hollow points. The 110's shoot very well in our 24" TC barrel.

It's a 12" Octagon.....He's a member of the TCA & had the entire collection of the special TCA 12" Contender Octagons. He's been selling them off, I've purchased the .22 WRM, .22 Hornet & .38 Specials & once I started shooting them his interest in them regenerated. One he is interested in retaining is the
.32 H&R but he didn't care for the selection of .32 pistol bullets on the market. Doing a bit of research, we believed (now confirmed) that TC actually produced the .32 H&R with a .308 bore, which is what led to the question since there's a bunch of lighter weight .308 bullets available.
