Hi all,

Am looking at 35 Whelen (or Ack Imp) barrels to fit to a Mauser action and found 2 different twist rates - 1:12 and 1:14. Shilen lists 1:14 and Douglas lists 1:12 (Brownells). Whats the difference between the two and why. I plan on trying to shoot 200 - 250 grain bullets but will lean heavily on the 225. Thanks.

Dad ordered the 1:14 twist, I'm having a temporary cash flow problem (tuition bills for 2 kids due in January). I'll work on the 06 I have started before I tackle the whelen.
