My friend has an over/under with a .410 on the bottom and a 357 Maximum on the top. I don't remember the make or model of the gun. What loads have you had success with? What Lee mold would you recommend?

That sounds like a downright NEAT gun! :D Is it a Savage, by any chance? I would love to see a picture of it, to try and figure out who made it. Might be a custom job?

I haven't worked with any cast bullets, but the Hornady 180gr SSP and the 140gr FTX both make good fodder for the MAX. One of Marshall's hard-cast 160's would work well, too!

In my Maxes I have been shooting a lot of 158 Lasercasts with 20.7 grns of IMR4227. This is a nice plinking load that is a lot of fun. cci400 primers, 1.916 COL.

I have shot 180 lasercasts with 21 grns of 4227 and that is getting reasonably warm. cci400's and 1.915.

My best accuracy load has been Rem 158's with WSR primers, 21.0 grns of IMR4227 and 1.899 col.

These are all reasonably mild loads in my Maxes.
