Hello to one and all, I just received a Rossi357 on a trade.Said gun looks like a new one except for the darkest wood stock I`ve seen.My levers are bigger bores and I would like to know what to load the Rossi with for best performance and what you think of the gun.It sure is a handy size after handling my 38-55 and 444.I think it will become my truck gun. Thanks fellas T.A.P.

T.A.P., I have one of the 16" carbines, set up as a house gun/truck gun,and have had the best luck with the federal hard cast factory stuff,in hand loads I use the 180 grains and the 200 grain byllets
I had mounted an old Leop 2x scout scope on it and at 75yards was getting around a 2" group with out playing with it much

If it will feed the Federal "Cast Core" ammo, you can duplicate this with any of the FNGC bullets in the 180-185gr. range.

With 296/H110, you'll have a very potent little rifle.

T.A.P.: Marshall has several posts about this subject. He has great respect for this rifle, and his pet load of his 185 gr. bullet over 16 gr. H110/W296 gives you a capable deer/ hog rifle. Search the posts for 357, 185, or Rossi, and you will find the posts.
