I know of a fairly obscure wildcat called the 375 Forsberg that was a 375 bullet in a shortened 308 case. I think Frank Barnes listed it in a volume of "Cartridges of the World". HD1

HD - do you happen to know what the case length was for the 375 Forsberg?

I think the .375 Forsberg uses a similar case length as the 308 x 1.5" cartridge. I'll look for my copy of C.O.T.W. I can't remember what edition it was in, but I'll check. HD1

Dies from CH/4D ... figure on about 2400-2600fps with a 200gr projectile from a 20" barrel.

I built one, sold it ... about to build another. Wont do anything a 358Win wont do, but its a fun little cartridge.
Cheers...

Don't know anybody who went down to 30 caliber but I know of a guy who went down to .338 and he loves it. I have no numbers only that he seems to be pretty pleased with the results.
