Another one of our members cgdavid has a 375 Hawk in the 1895 Winchester, if I'm not mistaken. Basically the Hawk is an improved version of the Whelen, though originally developed using 9.3x62 brass. I think Fred Zeglin at Z-Hat is basing his rifles off of the '06 case.
The 1895 in 270 is exactly the path I took. I sent mine off to Z-Hat for rebarreling to the 411 Hawk. His work is exceptional, as far as I can tell. I haven't had a tremendous amount of time working with mine, but have fireformed about 40 rounds so far.
