Anybody have any data about this cartridge? I know it is a 44mag necked down to 41cal, but what real gains over the 41mag are there, I know it has to be faster but is it worth the conversion? My father is wanting to send his 6in Dan Wesson to have the cylinder changed over. Is it worth it? What do y'all think?

Jaytee,

This is the 41 Gary N Reeder (GNR)

Head over to Reeder Custom guns. <a href="www.reedercustomguns.com" target='_blank'>www.reedercustomguns.com</a>

If I remember correctly, I think it is only chambered in the TC Contenders but I may be wrong.

At any rate, I doubt you would get much more than a 41 Mag in the shorter sixgun barrels and also have to deal with possible problems with bottleneck cases in revolver cylinders tieing up the gun.

In a longer barreled single-shot however, this looks to be a nice conversion idea.

Regards
