Whenever I get a new cartridge I always try to get the most out of it. Heck, I like experimenting too.
Is .45 muzzleloader bore .458? The rest of this post hinges on the answer being yes.
If so, has anyone reading this tried high pressure sabots in the .45/70 to ramp up velocity? Along this line. it would allow larger bullet selection and allow lighter bullet weights. They might not feed in a magazine gun, but in the Encore the sabot might not be a problem.
