Starting loads are usually the same as caliber, so 45 grains, then work up in 5 grain increments until you find the sweet spot. Every rifle is an individual, so what works in one rifle may not be the best in another.I just aquired a 45. cal. Sears Kentucky rifle and don't know what powder charge to use,can someone help me with this. I currently hav a 54 and a 50 cal. so I am not new to muzzeloading.
Thanks
