have a 1000 270 keiths from leadhead bullets. shot 2400 18 grains, mag primer and standard primer, excellent accuracy, looking for info on loading and buying wc820 surplus for an 1100 fps load. and ideas, what about primer choices, bullets are sized 454 and 452 throats, 51/2" barrel blackhawk

I think you have made an excellent choic of bullet type and weight. Pretty close to what I prefer.

I know nothing on the wc820 surplus powder, but I can comment on primers.
I have used Winchester, Federal, Remington, and CCI

I prefer Winchester for all of my loads. Federal and Remingon are runner ups, and CCI is a never no more.

With the Winchester WLP primers I get good consistant ignition with the variety of powders I have used. Very reliable.
Federal and Remington are good too, but not as good as the Win WLP's.
CCI's have given me more misfires and duds than all the other brands combined. The primer cups seem to be quite a bit harder too.

Use the Winchester WLP's. I think you'll be happy with them.
