Ruger developed a special steel to construct their Super Redhawk in 454 Casull. It would seem to me that if they put some corporate muscle into developing a lever action out of this same steel that could handle the 454 pressures, they would have a winner on their hands. I would definitely buy one.

The operating pressures for the 480 Ruger is the same as the 44mag, so this may be the next step. A 454 Casull can't approach performance levels of a 45-70 so there isn't much need for a Casull carbine. Bill Ruger never made too many mistakes in the firearms business and I'm sure he'd introduce one if he thought it would sell. In the meantime the old 45Colt will have to do and it'll equal  the Casull revolver round when used in a carbine. I'd get a M92 clone and load that rascal up. Navy arms is a good choice.
