I just bought a used 5 shot .45 colt. It is a Ruger Blackhawk stainless 4 5/8 in. and is fitted with a belt mountain base pin and Phillips and Rogers 5 shot cylinder. I was wondering if anyone on this board had any load data suggestions for me. I would like to stick with H110 and a 300 grain cast bullet. If anyone could suggest min. and maximum grains of H110 with a 300 grain cast I would be grateful. I do plan on doing my own experimenting just thought I would get your opinions also. Thanks.

THERE IS FIVE SHOT DATA OUT THERE, BUT FOR STARTERS I THINK YOU SHOULD TALK TO P&R ABOUT WHAT THEY RECOMMEND. YES, 50,000 PSI IS WHAT THE FIVE SHOT WILL WORK AROUND BUT IT HITS PEAK PRESSURE QUICK IN THE COLT CASE COMPARED TOO THE LONGER 454 CASE. DROP THEM AN EMAIL TO SEE WHAT THEY SAY AND WORK UP FROM THEIR DATA WOULD BE BEST.   KEEP US POSTED ON HOW YOUR DATA WORKS OUT.        JIM.
