6PPC tight neck

I ordered a barrel for my Savage 110 in 6PPC. The barrel came with a .262 neck. My 6PPC reloads and factory rounds mic .266 on average. Not wanting to have to turn necks can I have the neck of the chamber reamed out to .270? Is .270 the standard neck dimension for the Sako 6PPC USA factory chamber or is it too large? Thanks.

with that question.
6 PPC with .270 necks and Sako factory 6 PPC rifles are two frequent topics.

I would just buy neck turned brass or have a Benchrest shooter turn some necks and prep some .220 Lapua for your chamber.
Where did you get that barrel and at .262 I presume that it's a tight "Benchrest" chamber cut for which brass?
Old Sako .220 Russian or new Lapua ?
the Sako 6PPC USA factory chamber ?

Do a chamber cast and get a reamer print .

The barrel came from Sharp Shooters Supply. I plan on using the gun for varmint shooting, mostly prarie dogs, so I was trying to stay away from neck turning given the volume of cases I will be loading (1000 plus). The load is a 58gr Vmax. I did not realize that the neck was .262 until I pulled the barrel out to install it on the action. I am using Norma brass for the varmint rounds and have no problem with a Ruger 77 MK II target gun in 6PPC that uses this brass without turning. Anyway, thanks for the response and the link.
