help, i am trying to build a cast shooter project. problem is , the two calibers i would really like to build, i can't find gas checks for. i have not looked for moulds for the 404, at worse case, that could be custom made. 350 grain at 2400 sound interesting to anyone else? any comments or knowledge would be greatly appreciated. thanks john

contender, thanks for the reply, i tried looking for their e-mail addy, but could'nt find it. will give them a call monday. i was told on another forum to try 44 cal gas checks. could they possibly squeeze down that small? i will be casting 44's soon enough anyway, so they will be used one way or another. thanks again halfbreed

As you may have noticed on our Shopping Cart, we now offer a .404 Bullet, a 380 grain spitzer gas-checked design.

As for gas checks, .44 Caliber may be used but they must be annealed for best results.

marshall, thank you for your reply. i did see the 404 gc for sale. that is the reason i knew there had to be a solution for the 404. this should be a very interesting project to work on. although nearly every aspect is custom $ work. thanks to all who reply with knowledge or opinions.halfbreed
