I have been reading through many of the topics on all the different discussion to learn who each one of you are all about. I have been on other boards, but this one just feels like home now. I havent even shot any of the Beartooth bullets yet, ( On Order) . This is the politest fourm of all. I have seen some really bad exchanges on other fourms to where the the post was taken off and the person baned from the site. I have even been ripped apart just for on opinion. Not here though.
A little about me. I have been Married 21 years and have two girls. one 15 and the other 12. My 12 year old likes shooting and Hunting . My Wife is half and half on shooting. I have reloaded since 15 years old. I am 43 now. Started on a Lee Loader. My Father died when I was 5 years and learned hunting from a friends Father. I love the Lord and try my best to be a good Dad. I have hunted in Washington and Oregon. I have shoot 4 Bucks of which one is a Monster 9x8. They are all Blacktail Mule Deer Mix. No Elk Yet. Still trying. I shoot a Savage Model 24 Combo gun in 22 Hornet/ 20 guage. I also shoot a Ruger ultra lite in 308 Win with a Redfield 3x9 Scope. My Daughter has a Marlin 336 in 30-30 Win and a Marlin 22 model 81TS. My shotgun is a Winchester 1300 12 Guage. I reload from a small back room next to the washer and dryer. I have a really neat area set up with a RCBS Rockchucker Press. My next Rifle will be a Marlin 444P Outfitter. I look forward to shooting cast bullets as I like to be different then the rest of the crowd.

Big Buck,

Welcome to the SHooter's Forum!  This has proven to be a very civil, well informed group, with a lending hand gladly given to the newcomer.  The Lord has really annointed this little forum, and prospered it.

I too have hunted those benchleggs (what we locals in S. Oregon called the mulie-blacktail crosses).  They are an interesting critter, and very pretty.   In fact of all the bucks I've killed in my life, the only one I ever had mounted was a benchleg that I killed very near the Oregon/California border.

Welcome aboard, and make yourself at home!

God Bless,

Marshall

Big Buck...This Forum goes far beyond the normal definition of a forum. It's fabric is woven from threads all types of people , whose backgrounds and traditions are different, yet the same. There are many reasons we have landed here, some obvious and some not so obvious. To deny that there must be a Plan beyond our scope to see is undeniable, and yet you will recieve no lectures on theology other than and simple heartfelt "God Bless you!"
This Forum is somwwhat like a "Band of Brothers", who just enjoy a techo-friendship with each other! I once bounced along the web, here and there...no more. We see by the counters hundreds...no, thousands of vistors. We wish we could impress on them to come in, pull off their shoes, sit back awhile, and "chew the fat" with us.
I dare say, we can't even dream to what level this Forum will rise.....With that said, I'll go feed the bulldogs!
Best Regards, James

Dear Brother Stanton....These bulldogs do not realize they are dogs, thinking they are four legged little people! More than one time their kith and kin have save my shinning Cracker behind, when I got careless in a "Palmetto Gunfight" with a bad Tusker! So....You can betcha I plan to keep them happy! Their latest addiction is jelly beans and peanut butter, mixed on a cracker. You see what I mean? They think "They" live here and Cissey and I are the hired help! Oh well.........jelly beans anyone?
best Regards, James

Do you know.....If someone is a real Florida Cracker? If his porch falls down and kills 5 bulldogs under it!
Do you know if you are at a real Florida Cracker filling station )like Old Town)?....If you pull into the full service side and the man says," Sweep out your dog box, Sir?"
Oh well..........!
Best Regards, James
