[Dirty Harry]

Bought a couple of mags at a gun show and neither of them work. The bend at the top is wrong and will not permit proper ammo feeding. Tried to correct it but the bend is just too precise and I haven't been able to correct it. Has anyone out there had a similar problem and possibly a special tool for this? I will stay away from gun show mags in the future.

CMI mags from 44mag.com are around $29 each. They are the current manufacturer for the US military. Hardly worth buying anything else. There are lots of after market mags that are of questionable quality.

Check Brownells. They have lip forming tools for 1911 magazines but I don't know if they have anything for M1As.
