I've had very good results using a formula from Glen Fryxell. 1 pound of real beeswax + 1 pound of CRC extreme pressure moly-graphite grease.
I bought a saucepan at a yard sale for 50 cents and I melt this mix over my camp stove outside(too smelly for the indoors). From 850 to 2000 fps it is terrific and 2 pounds only costs 8-9 dollars to whip up.
I'll try it at higher speeds when i get an appropriate rifle (Win Model 71 I hope).
Does anyone else have a good formula?
take care
