I got my first 1894 recently at an auction. Paid a little too much, but I’m a sucker for lever actions. I admittedly didn’t perform my due diligence and go over the firearm thoroughly before putting it under the back seat of my truck and dubbing it my “hog-getter” for making my rounds in the pasture. Recently, a yearling whitetail ran out in front of me, and I think I spined it, because I couldn’t find any obvious fractures, but neither of the back legs could move, forcing me to put it down. In the process of loading a round, it completely jammed up on me, and for the life of me, I couldn’t figure out why. My loading gate seemed a bit loose, but didn’t seem to be the problem. Then I noticed my carrier flopping around. Somehow, the carrier screw backed out completely, and it is nowhere to be found. I have scoured the internet, but no one has them. Do any of you great folks have any leads on where I could get one? Thanks for your time! - F
