Anyone own a Rock Island Armory 1911 Tactical

I am looking at getting a Rock Island Armory 1911 Tactical model, it the one with the rail system, but no night sights.

Current prices are show to be in the $470 range.

Any first hand experiences with the Tactical model? Suggestions, input or anything else I should know?

I have had a 9mm RIA Tactical for about two years now and fired several thousand rounds through it. It is a well fitted pistol and very accurate with several different 9mm factory and reloads. My 9mm Tactical likes the Federal "American Eagle" 115 grain FMJ, Winchester 115 grain FMJ and Winchester 147 grain "Personal Protection" round factory ammo.

I really like the sights. I wish my RIA 45 ACP had the Tactical sights.

I have a number of reloaded 9mm's that shoot well also. For the money, the Tactical is well worth buying.
