I REALLY enjoyed the post” Best Single Action?” and learned a lot and did not want to hijack it. I have purchased a Ruger Blackhawk in 45LC… and want to start reloading for it.

<O:pI have never reloaded for CAS or SASS type guns but I have heard that the Lead Bullets need to be matched to the Barrel and Forcing cone… Since there were many Ruger Shooters in the above thread… are Rugers standard enough to use .452 diamater lead bullets or do I need to get the Blackhawk measured?

Nope, nothing standard at all. I've owned them with cylinder throats from 0.456" (1976 model) to mid 1990's Bisley at 0.448" or so. Reamed the small ones to 0.453" or so.

I hope they have settled on a diameter..... maybe things have changed?
