This is one of a few I've seen, and it's fortunate that the things typically blow out the top, and not down through the hand. Looks like the recoil plate was near to coming off the left side. That would suck. Hope nobody was hurt.

Hope nobody was hurt. What's astonishing to me is it looks like three rounds went off at once (assuming the one lined up with the bore did, too). How was that accomplished? High primers, maybe? If you have the data, it would be interesting to know what powder and what primers were involved?

Look into each case before seating a bullet.

If the case like say a .270 and the powder charge is not easy to see then use a flashlight.

I too hope no one was hurt. Doesn't this make the case for using a powder charge that provides near 100% case fill? A double charge would spill over and you would catch it in the reloading process.
