Thanks all good stuff!

P.S.

I got my BFR in 450 Marlin revolver up to 1950fps with 405G bullets. I wonder what the energy is on that :O)

A bit of recoil yes but one must adapt to the larger caliber rounds. If I can quote Eastwood, "A man has to know his limitations"

Well said! Trouble usually starts when we don't heed that advice.

Zep,
I'm pretty sure that would wipe out a bear if it hit the bear where the bear needed to be hit, which would likely be easier to do under pressure with: a rifle. Like I said in the other post "We'll have to agree to disagree"

At least you have good sense when it comes to quotes.:D

How is the recoil with that BFR? Lets use a .44 Superblackhawk with 320gr cast loads at about 1300 for the baseline of comparison. That would only have about 1200.58 lbs of energy.
