I've come across a Bayard 16 gauge side-by-side exposed hammers.  Checkering on wood.  Scroll work around screw heads.  "Demi Bloc" on each barrel at breech.  Knight on charger above every "Bayard."      Can't find out when or where it was manufactured, and have no clue as to its value.  Also, will steel shot damage it?--Thank you for your help!
