Here are those bear pictures I promised a few weeks back. The one with the bear on the far side of the river toward the boat, you can see two lights from a home in the village. The bruin came right up and put his nose on the side of the boat where it is visible in the shot. The one looking over the engine cowl, the bear is standing on a five inch diameter log that extends down from the back to under the back end of the boat. He got two feet closer than in the shot, before I rocked the boat to run him off. Both shots were taken with a pocket camera that has a wide angle lense.
