I finally received my order of Beartooth 45-70 ,405 gr. GCLFNGC bullets. The label indicates they are sized .460.
My rifle is a new 1895 Marlin Cowboy.I tried slugging the barrel and got about .457.
Now I have a question. Is it safe to shoot a .460 bullett in a barrel that I beleive to be .457?
Does anyone have any experience in shooting these exact bullets in the new Marlin 1895 45-70 CowBoy?
