I am looking at buying a Big Horn Lever Gun, I like the full length M89.

Does anyone have experience with them, they also produce the Sterling Shotguns.

I think a lever gun in the 500 Smith Magnum Cartridge would be good for big game a short ranges.

i dont see how you could make a unreliable pump or lever action gun .Also for ballistics in a rifle barrel length i would look at the one's for the h&r 500 s&w should be similar velocity etc.also check out the 475 turnball http://www.turnbullrestoration.com/store.asp?pid=26348&catid=19872 4000 ft lbs though i seen 3000 ft lbs for the 500 s$w .softest 500 loads to the hardest 700 grain loads http://www.ballisticsupply.net/Default.aspx?tabid=252105
i like the 350 grain idea recoil they say is that of a 38 special and would be non from a rifle
