Does anyone have any knowlege of the Blaser double rifles? I am thinking about buying one to use on Cape Buffalo and was wondering if it would be a good choice. In particular, I was wondering about the cocking mechanism making too much noise as I take it off safe and the possibility of failing to be able to get it off fast enough if things go wrong.
Thanks,

KUDU-40,..........I think Double Guns are great! However, it takes a whole lot of practice and I do mean practice before you can become proficient with one of those rifles. One must get their reloading time way down and shoot at moving targets up close too. I love the double gun but I will hunt with my bolt action model 70 because I am to long in the tooth and my Pappy told me to NEVER try changing horses in the middle of the stream.

If you go to Accurate Reloading.com, you will get all the information you need on the Double Gun ok. Now Saeed who has killed more cape buffalo than any man I know of on this planet. Hunts his Buff with a bolt action rifle!!! I rest my case sir. He has many guns to choose from but the bolt gun is his choice.;)
