Anyone slugged the bore on a BLR in 450 Marlin?? I was given a stainless BLR as part of a tip this past fall during my guiding season. It shoots jacketed bullets very well but I want to shoot cast. I have a Lyman 457163 and just cast up a bunch then powder coated them. ( I didnt size them as the only sizer die I have right now is .457) I have ordered a Lee push through die in .460. Anyway my finished bullets measure right at .463. Are these to big?? I know I need to slug the bore, Im just checking to see if anyone has done a BLR yet.

.463" will be too big. You'll need to be .001" to .002" larger than the bore. Be aware there will be "tight" areas in the bore where the sight dovetails are cut that can give you a false reading. Best to lap those tight areas out if you are going to shoot cast.
