Attempting to remove the bolt on a model 66 (not 66A or 66B) has me completely baffeled. The mag tube is connected to the bottom of the bolt by an aluminum block that allows the mag tube to move in unison with the bolt. I have no idea what Stevens was thinking when they designed this mechanism. The only screws I see that may have any possible connection to the way the block is attached are the screws that are visable from the top of the bolt that obviously hold the extractors and their springs. Probably not a good idea to remove them as it appears the extractors and spring could not be put back into place unless the bolt was out of the gun. Any help would be appreciated.
