Hey Guys,

I picked up a 10 ga turkey gun the other day and was wondering what the effective range of a 2 oz. load of #4's might be out of this gun. i never really wanted a 10 i thought the 12 ga was enough gun but got a good deal on this one so thought i'd give it a try. any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Only way to know is to pattern your gun and find out. I had 3 ten gauge BPSs and got slightly different results with different choke barrel combinations and loads. Handloaded nickel plated #5s were good to 65 yards easy out of an overbored barrel with a lengthened and polished forcing cone
