Rifle scopes are one product that quality depends on what it cost. The higher the cost, the better the qualiity.

To meet competition, scope makers produce bottom line scopes today that are of far higher quality than the more expensive ones of yesteryear. But, they will not have all the better glass, glass coatings, internal parts and seals of the mid to top of the line scopes the same maker produces.

All that said, the Trophy is a great scope within the limitations of construction for the price. The Elite 3200 will outperform the Trophy with better quality, just as the 4200 is better than the 3200 and the 6200 is better than the 4200.
