I've received an email several times with a few images of a revolver with it's top strap and three chambers blown out. According to the caption "Chinese ammo" was to blame. I think they were hot reloads. That bullet looks like a Hornady XTP to me. Can anyone positively identify it?

Someone probably messed up with his handloads and figured it would be less of an embarrassment to just blame the Chinese.

If you produce -something- in China and intentional/neglectful/faulty workmanship kills your fellow citizens many times it leads to a 30 day execution. I imagine if you produced bad ammo and it ended up killing people in the military, that would pretty much seal your fate.

I think those people that put the glycol in the USA pet food and medicine are pushing up daisies too. The guy that stabbed the six school children to death, died in 38 days after the fact.

Product liability lawyers are not a big business yet in China. Might have something to do with potential clients dying when someone else does.

Does anyone even know of a source for Chinese ammo? Haven't seen any for years, myself, and never in .44 Magnum, as some forms of this e-mail claim

I thought Bill Clinton stopped the importing of guns and ammo from China, that being said that sure doesn't look like an imported bullet. I sure never heard of any problems with commercial Chinise ammos except for accuracy.
