What crimp die would I want to use to get a heavy crimp on 45 Colt ammo. I would like to duplicate the heavy crimp found on Buffalo Bore factory ammo.

Thanks

Deuces, most any die you can crimp with. After seating the bullet back out your bullet seater and turn the die body in 1/8 of a turn then run the loaded round up till it stops and check the crimp. Adjust the die down slowly untill you have achived what you want. When you have crimped it to your liking, adjust you bullet seater down until it touches the loaded round, You might find you may have to tun the bullet seater in a smidge. The very next round check and adjust if needed.

The Redding Profile Crimp die will do it. It holds the sides of the case from swelling outward while a heavy crimp is applied.
