I ended up with a Bobcat in a trade.I had a T/C lock and stock and a friend who wanted to trade a Renegade for it. I didn't think it would be a fare trade for him, the renegade was new and worth a lot more than the stock I had. A few day's later I get home and there's this toy muzzleloader sitting on my front porch. First I almost thought it was a joke but after handleing it it kind of grew on me. I took it to the range next time I went,it shoot's better than anything I had and also shoot's anything you feed it good. the rifle is short ,light and ugly but it does as good a job or better than any muzzleloader I have owned. Now Im in the market for another rifle ,my daughter decided it grew on her to and is using it this season....

Hey James   Im glad you let me know about this forum, I like being able to talk about hunting without the other distraction's. Well as you know I do a lot of bow hunting around here for hog's . I can tell you some close call's with a few big hog's not to far from home.
I got to tell you a stort about the CVA Bobcat. My oldest daughter is 12 ,she does a lot of hunting with me usually carring the video cam . Well one afternoon I took he to the range with my 700ML to work on a load and she brought along the bobcat . I thought it would be perfect, she would be shooting her own rifle and I could get some quiet time to work on mine. She is a good shot and know's as much about shooting a muzzleloader and safety as I do.She was shooing away and I really wasn't paying much attention before a couple friend's of mine were over with her talking.
Meanwhile my rifle is driving me nut's(that's why I no Longer own It),she's over there shooting one single ragged hole group's at 50yds with open sight's(young eyes) and got bored so she started picking out letter's and number's on the target to shoot out. When I finally caught on what was going on the guy's they were telling her what to shoot at and watching instead of shooting.About now Im just about ready to give my rifle away because of all the ragging Im getting about my shooting and now Ben the owner of the gun shop is out there on me to. Megan (my daughter ) get's her target and come's over to show me ,she had used the bullseye for a nose and shot a happy face on it to. Well needless to say the Remmington is gone and I think Im going to be running the video cam this season..
