i recently acquired a cva 50 caliber muzzle loader, buckhorn. it came with the breech and the musket primer adapter already threaded in, well i stripped it out and actually broke the threaded part of the nipple off inside the breech . i took that out and i put the 209 replacement breech plug in, my question is do i need anything else to fire the weapon with this breechplug or the way it sits now can i put the 209 primer in it and go shoot?

Welcome to this site Patrick.

Might want to see if the firing pin is correct for the 209 primer.

My understanding is.. your plunger striker model will shoot 209, musket, or #11 caps. So if the rifle is empty, put a 209 in the breech plug and see if it fires. You might want to get capper/decapper as they are helpful getting stuck primers out of the breech plug.
