Hello fellow outdoorsmen,
I have a friend who owns a gunshop, and one item in his inventory is a CZ model 97 chambered for the .45 ACP. It's about 95 per cent and he's asking $415 for it. I have a couple of questions and I would appreciate your informative replies. (1) Is it true that the CZ 97 has a problem with the barrel bushing breaking? If so, what seems to be the cause of this problem, and in a worse case scenario, what can happen if the bushing breaks during fire? (2) Are CZs known for their accuracy, and how well made are they excepting the possibility of bushing breakage? Any other information would be appreciated.

Most sincerely,
Timberwolf

Can't tell you about the CZ Model 97 but I have a shooting buddy who swears by his CZ75 in 9 mm and I have found my CZ83 in .380 to be both reliable and accurate. I have heard that but for the cold war the CZ75 would have been favored by the military over the Beretta that was adopted (have not independantly verified this claim).
