In my 44 years of reloading I have found burrs only in Remington Brass. I have never found any in Winchester,Federal,or old Dominion brass. So I do not deburr any brass except Remington.
The tricky ones not yet mentioned are military match brass with often off-center flash holes. They can't be uniformed easily. Hatcher ran test on accuracy and found no detriment or change in POI with different orientations. I burned a lot of powder and came to the same conclusion.

Plus, they can be a little tough on sizer die decapping pins...ask me how I know!:cry::mad:

I've had some of those too..."I know I didn't pull that trigger!", and I think Jack Belk has encounter a few also, magic is the only explanation (maybe not, huh Jack?)!o_O;)
Energy was released. Where'd it come from and how did it get loose? Can it be tracked back to the source?
Sometimes.

Funny thing happened reading this. I was fooling around and found a drill bit epoxied into a wood dowel handle and couldn't remember whatbit was for till I read this. made it to deburr flash holes years ago. Worked well too but if their was an advantage to it I have no clue. Something I di find was once I got the burrs out they never came back! Wonder why they don't bother doing that when the hole is first punched?

Hay Don good question why not do it after punching the flash hole I would pay the extra $1.00 for them to do it

Two things: 1) The brass manufacturers don't see any burr [that may exist] as any problem or impediment to cartridge performance. 2) The additional cost of the additional operation (likely would be more than $1.00 per box?) would be not acceptable to the consumer base as all competition would not do it, because it is "not required" saithe the manufacturer.
Just my opinion.
