I might try my 357 Ruger Blackhawk on deer. If I understand the posts correct, a 158 or 180 grain JHP bullet is best. But, what is a cast bullet. Whatever I use it will be factory. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the explanation. Now I understand the meaning of a cast bullet. I'll definately try to find the Federal brand.
