Hey guys I recently purchased a Desert Eagle from a Pawn shop out of town!
Gun looks great, clean, shows some wear, overall good looking gun.
My problem is I disassembled the gun and noticed that the bolt was a .44 mag.
and the barrel is the .50 AE. "Ouch"
Looks like i'm going to need to buy a .50 cal bolt.
Will I need to contact Magnum Research Inc for the part???
:)
Thank you for any help! "
No I don't need any Ocean Front property in Arizona:)

I was under the impression that the .50 AE had a rebated rim, exactly the same size as a .44 mag rim?

I agree I believe the bolt will work with either-to change calibers you just change barrels.
Congratulations on the new gun.

That is what I was thinking. They use the same bolt. I noticed several videos on youtube about the DE 50 and 44 but none mentioned anything about that. (I didn't search long) You can contact DE Customer service and ask them. Maybe ask them for an owner's manual if you don't have one too.

It would seem that the 44Mag and 357Mag have unique bolt assemblies. From the user manual:

Bolt is the same. I have one with 44 and 50 barrels that came with one bolt.

Disclaimer!!...check online manuals!!!

My Son in Law had a .44 Magnum DE, and purchased the ,50 AE Conversion kit which I do not remember having a different barrel. Simple solution is to call Magnum Research and ask them.
