Just wanted to share some info in case others are interested. Wyatt industries recently started making a detachable magazine kit for the Remington 700's. Depending on which stock your model comes with (or aftermarket), this kit requires just a little bit of work.

I had to do minor inleting on the factory stock on the SPS Tactical 308 and also had to put two small washer shims between the bottom plate trigger guard and the stock (so the bolt operates freely). Overall it took 15 minutes and feeds the rounds 10x better than the stock internal box!

It's pretty tight. When the mag is empty, it seems a bit more "loose" and wiggles a bit. But when there's rounds in there, it seems pretty solid. Overall I love it. It feeds great and I bought a spare mag, which is nice because you can just swap mags at the range and keep shooting. I loaded one with the Federal and other with the Winchester today at the range and it was nice to swap. Plus it just looks friggin cool :p
